
No. 6 Long Beach State Dominates To Start Busy Saturday

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State faced off against Occidental and Long Beach City College in the first two of three Saturday games. The Beach won both games by wide margins behind stellar offense and defense.
Long Beach State opened the day with one of the team's most convincing victories of the season, winning by a score of 15-1 over the Tigers.
Ten different players scored for LBSU and five of them recorded multi-goal games.
Steven Cagle and Kyle Alhart split time in the cage with usual starting goalie Thomas Freeman out with an ear infection. Cagle finished with one save and Alhart finished with six.
Long Beach State then faced off against Long Beach City College in an exhibition game and came away with a 17-2 win over the Vikings.
Eleven different players scored for the Beach in this game. Leading goal scorer Nolan McConnell, who did not score in the first game, led the way along with Luke Ritter as they both recorded a hat trick.
Cagle and Alhart split time in the cage once again. Cagle finished with four saves and Alhart picked up a save in the fourth quarter.
