CHICAGO, Ill. -- Long Beach State rebounded from yesterday's tough loss with a convincing sweep of the UIC Flames on Wednesday. The 7-0 win made the 33rd-ranked Beach 1-1 on its current road trip and 12-4 overall.

The Beach dominated from the first serve as it quickly swept the doubles point. Maeva Razakasoa and Julie Gerard quickly captured the No. 3 match 6-1. Soon after, Karolina Rozenberg and Laura Eales won 6-3 to take the No. 2 match and clinch the point. Ebba Unden and Hayley Thompson's 6-2 win at No. 1 finished off the sweep.

The momentum continued into the singles portion of the match as Eales quickly won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 6 and Rozenberg followed with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5. Razakasoa sealed the team win for the Beach with her second straight set win in as many days. She won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 1 match.

Thompson and Unden continued the trend as both won in straight sets. Gerard was pushed to a third set but pulled out a tight super tiebreaker for the 6-2, 3-6, 1-0 (11-9) win at No. 4.

The Beach makes its last stop on its Illinois road trip tomorrow as it faces off with the University of Illinois.
