Long Beach State Throwers Begin Action at Triton Invitational

Triton Invitational - Friday's Results 
LA JOLLA, Calif. - The 49er women had five throwers in action Friday at the Triton Invitational, which was held at UC San Diego's Triton Track & Field Stadium.
Linda Rueff led Long Beach State with a sixth-place showing in the open division of the women's discus (147-08). Jerrilynn Stanwood also registered a season-best 142-11 to finish eighth, while Brianna Viltz notched a personal-record 129-07 to come in 15th.
In the invitational section of the hammer throw, Alexandra Cervantes was LBSU's top performer with a toss of 164-02 (19th).
Long Beach State returns to action at the Triton Invitational and begins competition at UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational on Saturday, April 27.
