EUGENE, Ore. - Long Beach State closed out its stay at the USA Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field on Saturday.
Andrew Garcia, who entered the junior meet ranked 23rd in the 3000m steeplechase, finished 19th overall with a time of 10:03.78.
Heath Reedy had to withdraw from the 5000m race due to an ankle injury. On Friday, Reedy finished third in the 10000m to earn USATF Junior All-America honors.
Tyler Wallace was unable to clear the opening height, which was set at 17-06, in the men's senior pole vault competition. It would have been Wallace's second-best mark as he registered a personal-record 18-00.50 to win the event at the Big West Championships in May.
