49er track & field wraps up action at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. - Senior Alex Shaw and junior Randi Hicks wrapped up the Long Beach State track and field team's stay at the NCAA Championships as both competed in the women's javelin Saturday morning at Historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon.
Hicks finished sixth in Flight 1 and took 12th overall with a toss of 157-08. Shaw was in the same heat where she placed eighth (17th overall) at 151-11.
Hicks closes out the season as the school and Big West Conference record holder in the javelin (170-11), while Shaw concludes her 49er career ranked third all-time (167-05).
