Des Moines, Iowa - Brent Gray became the second 2008 All-American for Long Beach State track and field Saturday at the NCAA Championships. Gray, competing in the finals of the 200 meter dash, took fifth place, giving the 49ers eight team points overall.

Gray, who qualified for the finals of the 200m on Thursday, ran a 20.88 time in the finals to take fifth place in a tight group of four runners trailing winner Walter Dix of Florida State. With the win, Gray earned four team points for Long Beach State, matching the four points earned from Chris Richardson in the decathlon.

The 200m was the final event for Long Beach State track and field this season, however a number of current and former athletes will also be competing in the Olympic Trials later this month, including Richardson.
