"Always great to win. In our sport it is great to win in five and it is great to be down 0-2 and comeback. I thought BYU played really well. I don't think we out played them, we just played as well as them."

Regarding facing teams in tournament that they lost to during the season
"You never really know, but we knew our team was in the ballpark of an NCAA team. You just play the best you can and either you are good enough or your not. In this tournament we were good enough."

Regarding NCAA Tournament Field
"I have only seen Ohio State play in a tournament early in the year. I thought they were a very athletic team that were capable of winning the conference. I don't really know the personnel."

Jonathan Winder
"I thought we could win from the beginning of the match. We played really well tonight. In games 3-5 we made the plays down the stretch. We believed through the entire match, no matter what was going on."

Regarding the fans
"They were great, even when we played Long Beach State. It was awesome to see so many fans there. It was also great to see the amount of fans here tonight with neither team being the home team. With out-of-town teams you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes its five fans from one team and 100 from another."

"I'm proud of the boys, they really grinded it out. We had some great swings to win, but it didn't go our way tonight. Pepperdine made incredible plays to win the match. They outserved us and had guys step up. They just blasted us. J.D. Schleppenbach was just phenomenal tonight."

"I was discussing with the referee about the ball hitting the player's hair, usually that's a girl's rule. So, basically we kept on playing"
