LONG BEACH-- Both Long Beach State (15-13) and Hawaii (18-8) swept through the Long Beach State Mini-Tournament, with the 49ers defeating Claremont-Mudd (15-6), Pomona-Pitzer (13-7) and Sonoma State (11-5) and the Wahine defeating Sonoma State (14-6), Claremont-Mudd (23-4) and Pomona-Pitzer (16-4). Dayna Wawryznski scored 12 goals on the day, while goalie Kristen Stragier made 36 saves for the 49ers.

LONG BEACH-- The 49ers opened up the LBSU Mini Tournament with a 15-6 win over Claremont-Mudd paced by four goals from Dayna Wawrzynski and two goals a pieces from five other players. LBSU opened up to a 5-2 first period lead, and after CMS closed to within 6-4 at the half and held close to 9-6 after three periods, the 49ers scored six goals in the fourth to put the game out of reach. Kristen Stragier had 11 saves in goal for the 49ers. Kristin Orkney and Eliabeth Marin had two goals a piece.

LONG BEACH-- Hawaii cruised to their opening game of the Long Beach State Mini-Tournament, defeating Sonoma State 14-5. Angela Turnbull had three early goals for the Wahine, as Hawaii led 5-2 on Turnbull's third with 6:08 remaining in the second period and never looked back.Leonie Van Der Molen added three goals as well for the Wahine, including two in the fourth quarter.

LONG BEACH-- Becky Genter scored four goals and Dayna Wawrynski added three goals early as Long Beach State moved about .500 following a 12-5 win over Pomona-Pitzer. After pushing out to a 3-2 lead, LBSU scored fvie goals in the second period to lead 8-2 paced by two goals by Wawrzynski and another two by Genter.

LONG BEACH-- Hawaii remained undefeated at the tournament, crushing Claremont-Mudd 23-4. Angela Turnbull and Lisa Van Raaalte had three goals a piece, while Leonie Van Der Molen had four goals to lead the Wahine. Hawaii led 3-1 after the first period and then scored 10 unanswered in the second period to roll to the victory.

LONG BEACH-- The 49ers closed out the tournament paced by 11 saves by Kristen Stragier and five goals from Dayna Wawzynski to move to 15-13 on the season following an 11-5 win over Sonoma State. LBSU doubled up Sonoma State 4-2 in the first period, before taking a 7-3 lead at the break and never looking back. Two more goals in the third period made it 9-3 and put the contest well out of reach.

LONG BEACH-- Hawaii was the second team to sweep through the LBSU Mini-Tournament, rolling past Pomona-Pitzer 16-4. Kristen Swanson had three goals in the win, as did Leonie Van Der Molen and Emily Cox. Hawaii goalkeeper Sara Grailzer made 11 saves in goal as Hawaii opened up to a 10-0 halftime lead and cruised from that point.
