
49ers Improve Play at UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Long Beach State women's golf team shot a 309 in the second round to remain in 17th place at the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The 49ers improved by 12-shots from their opening round of 321 on Monday. Washington State remains in first as the Cougars recorded a 289 to remain three shots ahead of second place BYU and San Francisco.
Individually for LBSU, Lindsey McAtee remains as the top 49er as she finished tied at 62nd as she finished with a 78. McAtee shot a 4-over 76 in the opening round on Monday to finish tied for 45th. Erin Cylke came back in the second round with a two-over 74 to move up in the standings from 84th to being tied at 68th. Reina Rogers is tied at 78th, followed by Katy Barrett tied for 90th and Kira Murashige tied for 94th. Christina Stockton of San Francisco holds a one-shot lead with a 137.
Final round action concludes on Wednesday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
