49ers Defeat Eastern Kentucky

49ers Defeat Eastern Kentucky, 5-0 Bridgette Pagano (7-4) tossed her second shutout of the tournament and third in her last four starts, allowing five hits while striking out three. Kourtnee Gervasi led the 49er offense with two hits, three RBI and a run scored. Panita Thanatharn and Jessica Beaver also had two hits apiece. The 49ers pushed one run across in the first inning as Brooke LeSage drove in Whitney Radcliff with a sacrifice fly to right field. LBSU struck again in the second inning as Ashley Levine led off with a single and a Gervasi double brought her home. A single by Franciska Morlet scored Gervasi. The 49ers added two more in the fifth after a two-out single by Gervasi brought home Jessica Beaver and LeSage. The 49ers are back in action on Wednesdsay, March 14 as they host Miami (OH) at the 49er Softball Complex on campus at 2 pm.
