Beach Finishes Fourth at 49er Collegiate
Ryan Panichpakdee Ties For Fifth Place Overall
October 25, 2005 COONCORD, NC-- The 49ers men's golf team finished in fourth place at the 49er Collegiate Classic at the Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, NC. Long Beach shot a 306 in Tuesday's final round, to finish with a three-round score of 907. Charlotte won the team title with an 884, while Davidson finished second with a 904 and Ball State third at 906.
Long Beach senior Ryan Panichpakdee was the top golfer for the 49ers, tying for fifth place overall with an eight-over-par 224 (74-73-77). Junior Brett Lederer tied for 23rd place with a 229 (80-71-78) and Jeremy Keller tied for 32nd with a 231 (80-75-76).
Winning the overall individual championship was Charlotte's Ray Sheedy who shot a four-under-par 212 (68-73-71). Daniel Willett of Jacksonville State finished in second place with a 221 (69-80-72).
