Day One Results

Graduate Steen Zeman and senior Jack Cantlay had the top scores of the first day for Long Beach State. Cantlay got off to a solid start, the best of the day for LBSU and finished the round with a +2 73 on the Par 71 course, while Zeman closed strong with two birdies in the final three holes to also finish with a 73. The pair wrap the day in the Top 20 in the field.

Senior Alejandro de Castro Piera shot a 75 on Monday, while Krishnav Chopraa shot a 77. Senior Jaden Huggins had the team's drop score in the first round in Columbus.

As a team, Long Beach State is +9 after round one, tied with South Carolina in ninth place overall. The Beach are five strokes back of the key fifth-place spot, currently held by Illinois State after Monday's action.
