Three Niners Highlight Regionals First Day

Sampson, Holland, Temidara Highlight Regionals
Hammer Throwers Score Points in Both Genders, Temidara Fifth in High Jump

NORTHRIDGE, CA-- Hammer throwers Stephanie Sampson and Steve Holland, along with high jumper John Temidara scored points for Long Beach State at the NCAA Regionals hosted by CS Northridge.

Sampson finished in eighth place in her event, tossing the hammer 189'6", while on the men's side, Holland finished in sixth place with a toss of 188'11". Temidara continued his spectacular season with a jump of 6'11" to finish in fifth place in the high jump.

The NCAA Regionals continue Saturday, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
