Five Top-10 Finishes at Drake

Five 49ers Finish in Top-10 at Drake DES MOINES, IA-- Long Beach State had five athletes place in the top-10 at the Drake University Relays highlighted by Doug Lefler's fifth win of the season in the javelin. Lefler, who won on Friday with a toss of 213'11", is already the 49ers' record holder in the event, when he tossed 228'8" at the Cal-Nevada Championships last month. John Temidara lept to his fifth win or runner up performance of the season, finishing second in the high jump with a leap of 7'0.25". On the women's side, three athletes finished in the top-10, as Kim Heinz finished in the top-five for the fifth time this season with a toss of 144'02" in the javelin, placing fifth.. Holly Lipscomb produced her fifth mark in the top-10 of the season, hopping to a distance of 38'9.75" for a seventh place in the triple jump.
