Derek Mills joined Long Beach State Athletics in 2021 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities, Operations and Event Management. Derek plays a key role in managing campus events, team practices and facility rentals.Â

In his role, Derek oversees the planning and execution of events of all sizes, from community gatherings to university functions, while also coordinating the logistics of facility rentals. Derek graduated from UC Berkeley, and earned his Master degree from Cal State Long Beach in 2021.
