Brooke Birch, Kealoha Phillips Named Big West Pair Of The Week

The duo was a perfect 4-0 against four ranked opponents at the Texas Invitational.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Junior Brooke Birch and Sophomore Kealoha Phillips were named the Big West Pair of the Week following an unbeaten weekend at the Texas Invitational.
Facing four teams ranked in the Top 20, Birch and Kealoha went 4-0 at the Texas Invitational, picking up key wins in 3-2 victories over No. 17 North Florida and No. 12 LSU while earning Long Beach State's lone point against now No. 3 Texas, even after moving up to the fourth flight for that match.
The duo are now 8-4 in the fifth flight this season for Long Beach State after earning three more wins in Austin.
Birch and Phillips are the second honorees this season from Long Beach State, joining seniors Malia Gementera and Taylor Hagenah.
