Jeff Tremper was hired in 2023, joining Long Beach State as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. Prior to coming to the Beach, Tremper was the Director of Sports Performance at Davenport University, overseeing managing the strength and conditioning efforts for 18 programs that produced multiple All-Americans as well as a signee for Major League Baseball.

A sport performance veteran with plenty of experience, Tremper has also additionally worked with Loyola Maryland, Montana State, Maryland, East Carolina as well as internationally with the Chinese Olympic Team. His longest tenure game at Montana State, where he worked from 2013-19 in roles of increasing responsibility, finishing as the Associate Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Bobcats.

Tremper graduated from the University of Maryland in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. After, he followed this up with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Montana State University. He is certified through the NSCA, NASM, USAW and TPI.
