Maxwell Earns Second Straight Big West Setter of the Week Honor

The sophomore leads Long Beach State to 2-0 conference start with 67 assists
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State's Madi Maxwell was named Big West Setter of the Week for the second consecutive week on Sept. 29.
Maxwell directed the Long Beach State offense to a 2-0 Big West start on opening weekend (Sept. 26–27). At UC Irvine, the 6-2 sophomore dished out 37 assists before recording 30 more against Cal State Fullerton.
She averaged 11.17 assists per set across the two matches while also contributing 13 digs, five blocks, three service aces, and two kills.
Long Beach State (9-4, 2-0 Big West) returns home to host UC Santa Barbara (10-4, 2-0 Big West) Friday night at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
