Mike Littman enters his second year as the goalkeeper coach at Long Beach State. Prior to joining The Beach, Littman spent four years as an assistant for both the men[apos]s and women[apos]s teams at Cal State Dominguez Hills. He played a significant role in his first season at CSUDH, helping the Toros make deep runs into the NCAA Tournament. The women[apos]s squad reached the 2009 NCAA championship game, while the men advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals. Littman has also had a strong presence on the club scene with over 20 years of experience under his belt in both California and Utah. He has had stints with PVSC, Beach FC, Real So Cal, Park City Soccer Club and Torrance United Soccer Club. Littman has also been involved with the Region IV Olympic Development Program since 2010, and was recently added to U.S. Soccer[apos]s Market Training Centers, where elite youth players are invited to train and showcase themselves in front of U.S. National Scouts. As an athlete, Littman played 14 years at the professional level. He spent time with the L.A. Galaxy, L.A. Salsa, L.A. Heat, Utah Blitzz (2001 National Champions), OC Zodiac and OC Wave. Littman also spent one season overseas with Crewe Alexandra in England. Littman played two years at El Camino College, leading the program to a state title in 1987 and a runner-up finish in 1986. He then transferred to Cal State Northridge, where he earned second-team All-CCAA honors in 1989. Littman gave up his final year of eligibility to pursue his passion of playing professionally in the United States. Littman is married to Tricia, a Cal State Dominguez Hills alum and former Toro soccer player. The couple resides in Palos Verdes with their three children, Brooke, Zackary and Kyle.
