Jeff Paneda is in his first year as an assistant cross country and distance coach at Long Beach State.

Paneda competed two years on the track & field team at Sacramento State (2007-08). He helped lead the Hornets to back-to-back Big Sky indoor championships. As a senior, Paneda was the conference champion in the 800m for both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

In his two years at Sacramento State, Paneda broke three school records (indoor 800m, mile and outdoor 800m), and he was named to the All-Decade track & field team.

Paneda graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor's degree in communications and is currently working toward his master's in sport management at Long Beach State.
