2021 (Junior): Earned first-team All-America honors after finishing sixth at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships … Set the Long Beach State school record in the decathlon (7,644 points) at the NCAA Championships … Was also the first Beach athlete to qualify for the NCAAs in the decathlon since 2011 ... Qualified for the NCAA Championships after dominating the Big West Championships where he posted 7,520 points … Became the first decathlon champion for the Beach since 2014 … Finished seventh in the javelin a the Big West Championships (181-0) ... Finished second in the long jump (23-10 1/4) and 12th in the discus (101-2) at the Beach Invitational ... Was third in the pole vault (14-9 1/2) at the Long Beach Throws/Jumps Fest.
Indoor: Did not compete.
Prior to LBSU: A tremendously successful combined events athlete in both indoor and outdoor track and field at both the international and collegiate level at Kansas State… Won the Gold Medal at the 2019 World University Games in the Decathlon with a score of 7,827 … Served as the flag bearer for New Zealand in that competition … Qualified for the suspended 2020 NCAA Indoor National Championships, earning All-America Honors … Earned first-team All-America honors in both indoor and outdoor in 2019 … Placed sixth at the 2019 NCAA Championships in the Decathlon, and eighth in the hepathlon at the 2019 NCAA Indoor National Championships … A two-time runner up in the decathlon at the Big 12 Championships … A CoSIDA Academic All-District Selection and first-team Academic All-Big selection.
Prep: Placed third at the World University Games in 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan, scoring 7,523 points...
