11 Honored As CSC Academic All-District Selections Across Four Sports

Long Beach State saw honorees for both Men’s and Women’s Golf as well as Men’s and Women’s Water Polo.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – CSC Academic All-District awards were announced Tuesday by Collegiate Sports Communicators for the at-large programs, honoring sports outside of the specific scope of individual sport recognition.
For Long Beach State, that included both water polo programs and both golf programs, and all four had individuals meet the elite standards of competition and classroom success that merit CSC Academic All-District. Nominees for this honor must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, hold at least sophomore academic standing, and meet stringent performance standards in their respective sports.
Big West Golfer of the Year Alejandro de Castro received recognition from the Men's Golf program, while veteran leaders Madison Le and Erin Lee of Women's Golf were both recognized for the second straight season, with Le claiming a third CSC Academic All-District nod. Transfer Emma Kang rounded out the three women's golfers who were recognized.
Chiara Amoroso was also a repeat winner, one of a trio of selections from Women's Water Polo that also included Lucy Miszewski and Gaby Patenaude. Men's Water Polo finished with four honorees, with Artur Diaz, Konstantinos Kapragkos, Toring Stanley and Harper Stewart all earning selection.
