Long Beach State Women’s Tennis Lands Three On CSC Academic All-District Team

Diana De Simone, Paulina Franco Martinessi and Thea Jagare recognized for combined success in the classroom and on the court
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State women's tennis student-athletes Diana De Simone, Paulina Franco Martinessi and Thea Jagare were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, recognizing their combined achievements academically and athletically during the 2025-26 season.
The trio helped lead the Beach throughout the spring while excelling in the classroom, earning recognition as part of the CSC Academic All-District program, which honors student-athletes who have demonstrated high achievement both in competition and academically. To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average while meeting competition requirements.
De Simone played a key role in the Beach lineup throughout the season, contributing in both singles and doubles competition. Franco Martinessi continued to provide veteran leadership and consistency for Long Beach State, while Jagare added another academic accolade to her accomplished collegiate career after once again competing at a high level for the Beach.
