Long Beach State continues its opening homestand Tuesday afternoon, hosting the University of San Diego at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field with first pitch scheduled for 3:05 p.m. on ESPN+.

FRESHMAN SPOTLIGHT
Freshman right-hander Jason Gerfers made his collegiate debut on Opening Night, tossing 4.1 innings against San Jose State. He allowed three runs on five hits while striking out five and working through four walks across 96 pitches.
