Junior Norwin Gohm Earns Big West Golfer Of The Month After Strong Start

Gohm had three Top 20 finishes in the month of September to earn the award.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Junior Norwin Gohm was selected as the September Big West Men's Golfer of the Month, announced by the conference office on Friday.
Gohm and the Beach played in three tournaments through the month to start the season, and Gohm had three Top 20 finishes in the month to claim the award.
The junior started the season with a Top 20 performance at the Vuori Invitational, and then led the Beach at the William H. Tucker Invitational. Opening the tournament with a 6-under par 66, Gohm finished the tournament in a tie for 17th place among 88 golfers.
Finally, Gohm played a huge part in Long Beach State's career low scoring round of 265 to start the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational. At the Par 70 Boulder Country Club, Gohm shot another 6-under par to record a career-low 64, and finished the tournament in a tie for sixth place overall, his best finish to date of his career as the team placed as the runners up at in Colorado.
The award is the first of Gohm's career, and is the first monthly honor awarded by the conference in 2026-27. Long Beach State wraps up their fall competition starting on October 19 at the Saint Mary's Invitational.
