Men’s Golf Wraps Fall At Saint Mary’s Invitational

The Beach will play their fourth fall tournament starting on Monday.
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State Men's Golf will play their fourth and final fall tournament starting on Monday, October 19 as the Beach faces an 18-team field at the Saint Mary's Invitational, hosted by the Gaels.
Long Beach State is coming off of their best tournament of the season, finishing as the runners-up at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in Boulder, which included a record-setting 265 as a team in the first round.
Senior Krishnav Chopraa will lead off the lineup for the Beach. Chopraa has finished in the Top 20 in two of the team's three tournaments this season, including a 3-under performance at the Mark Simpson the last time out.
September Big West Golfer of the Month Norwin Gohm will play second. The junior led the Beach at the William H. Tucker Invitational and tied for sixth place in Boulder, ending the month with two Top 20s and a Top 10 finish. Sophomore Emil Albers will play third, with senior Jaden Huggins fourth after a Top 5 finish to lead the team at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
Freshman Bruce MacDonald will make his third straight appearance in the lineup for the Beach, while fellow freshman Andrew Rodriguez will make his collegiate debut as an individual in the tournament, which will be played at Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside.
The packed field will feature Arkansas State, Cal, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Gonzaga, Nevada, Oregon, Pacific, Sam Houston State, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Seattle U, Washington, Washington State, Xavier, the hosts Saint Mary's and the Beach.
