32 Fall Student-Athletes Recognized As Academic All-Big West

Five sports were honored from the Beach after the fall season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Academic All-Big West honorees were announced Thursday by the Big West Conference, and Long Beach State had 32 meet the qualifications across five Fall sports.
To be selected Academic All-Conference, Student-Athletes must have a 3.00 cumulative grade point average, meet participation criteria relevant to their specific sport, and have completed a full academic year prior to the season for which the award is being received.
Long Beach State's Cross Country programs saw nine student-athletes recognized. Jadyn Palaschuk, Marikaw Schwab, Alyssa Tapanes, Nataly Toledo, Brooke Willoughby earned the honor for the women's program, with Cameron Gill, Cristian Martinez, Kyle Reden and Levi Taylor recognized for the men's program. Reden earned special merit with a 4.00 cumulative GPA as a graduate student.
Big West regular season champions Men's Water Polo had eight players recognized in Artur Diaz, Joseph Jenness, Alec Jonnson, Konstantinos Kapragkos, Jason O'Donnell, Itai Roth, Michael Soybel and Harper Stewart.
Women's Volleyball had seven honorees in Elise Agi, Laurel Barsocchini, Madi Collins, Tatum Hoff, Logan King, Madi Maxwell, and Rhiann Sheffie.
Women's Soccer matched Men's Water Polo for the most Academic All-Conference selections in the fall with eight, as the young team was represented by Natalie Arnold, Jordan Candelaria, Makena Irvine, Malea Johnson, Charlotte Luhr, Kailey Supa, Kana Uchida and Zoe Willis.
