Day One Results

Chopraa had six birdies and a second stroke hole out on six to cap a monster day, tying the best round of the year for Long Beach State. "Great play today from Krishnav in a bogey free 63," said head coach Rob Murray. "A career-low for him and the albatross on hole six was incredible! He carried us all day."

At -9, Chopraa leads second place Tegan Andrews and Matthew Schafer of Cal State Fullerton by five strokes, as the Titan duo finished the day four-under par at 68. The Titans led Long Beach State in the team competition by two strokes after the end of Sunday.

Alejandro de Castro Piera had six birdies throughout the day, but the junior bookended his round with a double and triple bogey to finish with an even par 72. Clay Seeber and Jack Cantlay each shot 73, while Charlie Forster was the drop score Sunday with a 74.

"We are going to have to step it up as a team, we had too many sloppy mistakes today," added Murray. "We are going to reset and get back after it tomorrow."
