Megan Widener and Demi Wagdy Named Big West Pair Of The Week

LONG BEACH, Calif. - Megan Widener and Demi Wagdy were named the Big West Pair of the Week for their efforts at the fifth flight during the Death Volley Invitational. 

The fifth flight pair have won seven games against ranked opponents, including opponents from No. 8 Texas and No. 2 TCU. Their statement win over the Horned Frogs was the only dual point for the Beach. The pair has only dropped two of their last ten matches. 

Demi Wagdy is a true freshman for the Beach and has consistently played at the fifth flight this season. Megan Widener is in her final year with the Beach and has garnered numerous accolades like back-to-back Big West Honorable Mentions. Widener is also a Top Flight Award recipient for her efforts at the fourth flight during the 2024 season.
