LONG BEACH, Calif. – Beach Volleyball for Long Beach State has announced their 2026 schedule, hosting two major tournaments and again facing top teams nationwide as the Beach pushes towards another trip to the NCAA Championship in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Long Beach State opens up the 2026 season at Pepperdine, where they will open the season with a neutral match against Washington before taking on the Waves on February 21. The next weekend will feature a pair of trips to Los Angeles, where they will face Concordia and Loyola Marymount at LMU and then UCLA and Pepperdine, hosted by the Bruins on February 28.

Over March 6 and 7, Long Beach State will host their first major tournament of the year, brining in five other teams to Long Beach as part of the Long Beach State Invitational. Over the course of two days, the Beach will host 12 matches and will play UAB, Stetson, Loyola Marymount and Santa Clara themselves while also welcoming Cal State Bakersfield into the field.

A trip to Stanford follows where the Beach will play Washington once again, North Florida, Houston Christian and the host Cardinal over two days on March 13 and 14.

Long Beach State will then head to Rosie's Dog Beach as the Beach will host the premier in-season conference event once again, the Big West Challenge. All seven teams in the Big West will arrive in Long Beach State and play a full round robin, each team playing six other opponents over three days of packed action.

A featured road trip will follow as the Beach heads to Texas, where they will play four Eastern opponents in North Florida, Florida Atlantic, LSU and the hosts, Texas, from Austin. Back in California, the Beach will once again take part in the Best in the West tournament from Laguna Beach, Calif., facing USC, Stanford, Cal Poly and UCLA this season.

Closing the regular season, Long Beach State will host Concordia and CSUN in a tri-dual on campus on April 10, and then host Grand Canyon and Arizona State on April 17.

The postseason begins on April 23 and 24 as Cal Poly hosts the Big West Championship in San Luis Obispo, and then the NCAA Championship returns once again to Gulf Shores, Ala. on May 1-3. Long Beach State reached the NCAA postseason in each of the last three seasons and are aiming for their eighth trip to Gulf Shores in 2026.
