Long Beach State Beach Volleyball Announces 2025 Schedule

The team will face a number of challenging opponents during the spring campaign.
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Long Beach State Beach Volleyball has announced their upcoming schedule for the 2025 season. They will host two home tournaments in a local partnership with Long Beach City College and Rosie's Dog Beach. The team will then be on the road for the majority of the season.
The season opener will be played in Malibu on February 22 where they'll take on hosts Pepperdine along with a rematch against Cal. The next weekend the team will compete in the Battle for LA and face the defending NCAA Champions in USC.
Long Beach will play their first home matches on March 8 as the team holds the LBSU Invitational, inviting four teams to Long Beach. The next weekend will see them host a two-day tournament, featuring 14 matches. They will play Tarleton State and Arizona on March 15 for the program's senior day at Long Beach City College. They will face Boise State and Concordia at Rosie's Dog Beach on March 16 before going on the road for the remainder of the season.
The Beach will participate in the Big West Challenge where they will face every conference opponent over three days of competition from March 21-23 at Cal Poly. The following weekend they will head to Louisiana for the Death Volley Invitational. They will face the host LSU as well as Texas, TCU and Florida State.
Once back in California they will compete in the Best of the West tournament as defending champions. The weekend will be highlighted with games against Stanford and conference opponent Cal Poly. The team will travel up to the Pacific Northwest the following weekend, landing at Alki Beach to face the host Huskies, Oregon and Portland.
They will finish the regular season facing Utah and LMU at Loyola Marymount. The Big West Championship will be hosted by CSUN in Santa Monica on April 24 and 25. For the first time, Long Beach State will host the NCAA Championships in Huntington Beach from May 2-4.
Attendance is free for all home matches for Beach Volleyball regardless of the venue.
