30 Long Beach State Student-Athletes Earn Fall Academic All-Big West Honors

LBSU features 3-of-11 4.00 GPA's in the Big West
LONG BEACH, Calif.—The Big West announced Thursday afternoon that 30 Long Beach State Student-Athletes across LBSU's Fall sports were named Academic All-Conference.
To be selected Academic All-Conference, Student-Athletes must have a 3.00 cumulative grade point average, meet participation criteria relevant to their specific sport, and have completed a full academic year prior to the season for which the award is being received.
Three men's cross country program members garnered Academic All-Big West honors: Quinn Garity, Cameron Gill, and Kyle Reden.
The women's cross country team earned seven entries in Mackenzie Hack, Leia Jones, Jadyn Palaschuk, Marikay Schwab, Allie Scimia, Louise Stonham, and Brooke Willoughby.
Long Beach State's women's soccer team had the most individual honorees, nine in total. LBSU's honorees are Natalie Arnold, Jordan Candelaria, Kassandra Ceja, Makayla Demelo, Summer Laskey, Julia Moore, Alanah Ramirez, Kailey Supa, and Kana Uchida.
The Long Beach State women's volleyball program features eight choices: Kameron Bacon, Savana Chacon, Jenna Giambi, Jaida Harris, Abby Karich, Ella Lomigora, Zayna Meyer, and Sarah Vellucci.
Rounding out the Academic All-Conference selections were LBSU men's water polo players Botond Hajdu, Nikola Jancic, and Jason O'Donnell.
Schawb (Human Development), Bacon (Masters – Public Administration), and Chacon (Masters- Sport Management) were among the 11 of the 445 Big West student-athletes honored who recorded 4.00 GPAs in their respective majors.
