Women's Soccer Announces 2024 Schedule

The Beach Host 11 Home Matches This Season
LONG BEACH, Calif.—Long Beach State women's soccer coach Mauricio Ingrassia has announced a 2024 schedule that features 11 home matches and seven opponents that reached the NCAA Tournament a year ago.
The Beach opens the campaign against USC in an exhibition on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Track and Field Facility of Dignity Health Sports Park, the home of the USL's LA Galaxy II. The Women of Troy advanced to the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.
LBSU opens the regular season at home on Thursday, Aug. 15, when the Beach hosts UCLA at 7 p.m. The Bruins won the final Pac-12 title before losing to UC Irvine in the first round of last season's national tournament.
Long Beach State hits the road for the first time on Aug. 18 when the Beach heads to the University of San Diego. LBSU returns home to face back-to-back national tournament qualifiers as Santa Clara comes to George Allen Field on Aug. 22 before LBSU hosts BYU on the 24th. The Cougars reached the Final Four last season before bowing out to Stanford.
The Beach ends August at Utah Valley on the 31st before opening September with a home match up against the University of Washington on the fifth. Next up for the Beach are back-to-back matches against foes who made the Sweet 16 of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. LBSU begins by traveling to the University of Texas on the eighth before hosting Texas Tech on the 15th.
The Texas Tech match begins a four-game home stand, which sees the non-conference slate ending against the Ivy League's Cornell (Sept. 20) and continuing with the Big West opener versus UC Riverside (Sept. 22) and ending with CSUN (Sept. 26).

The Beach are UC Santa Barbara (Oct. 3) and Cal Poly (Oct. 6) before returning to George Allen Field for a three-game home stand. The set begins against UC Davis (Oct. 10) before Cal State Bakersfield comes to Long Beach (Oct. 13). The final 2024 home match is on Oct. 20 against Cal State Fullerton.
The regular season ends with road contests at defending Big West champion UC Irvine (who made the third round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament) on Oct. 27 and the University of Hawai'i (on Oct. 31). The first round of the Big West Championships is set for Nov. 3. The semifinals are on Nov. 7, and the finals are on Nov. 10.
