HENDERSON, Nev. – No. 49 Long Beach State tied for third with Arkansas State after shooting 10-under today in the final round of the Lake Las Vegas Intercollegiate. Senior Clay Seeber finished tied for fourth place after a strong performance in the final round.

Long Beach State finished the tournament at 17-under par as a team, putting the Beach in third place and just three strokes behind first. No. 45 VCU finished on top of the leaderboard with a tournament score of 20-under. No. 37 South Florida came in second with a score of 18-under par.

"The team battled hard this week," said Long Beach State Head Coach Rob Murray. "Being in pressure situations down the stretch will only help this team as we get deeper into the spring season."

Seeber was on fire as he shot a 66 in the third round today, sinking eight birdies to bring his final score to 6-under and a third-place finish. His 66 tied as the lowest round score shot for this year's tournament and matched a personal-best for the Newport Beach, Calif., native.

"I'm proud of Clay and his finish," Murray added. "He was battling some illness and showed a lot of character performing at the highest level."

Junior Steen Zeman competed as an individual and earned a top 15 finish. His final round score of 70 brought his tournament total to 4-under.

Two more Beach players finished in the top 25 after strong third round performances. Charlie Forster shot a 68 in his final round bringing his final score to a 3-under as Jaden Huggins finished the tournament at 2-under par. Both added six birdies to their scorecard in the final round.

Jack Cantlay finished the tournament at 3-over par and Isaac Rodea at 5-over par.

The Beach will be back in action March 18 and 19 as they are set to compete in the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz.
