The Beach Invitational For Women’s Golf Canceled Due To Heavy Southern California Rains

The tournament was set for its 12th iteration beginning on February 5.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State and Women's Golf Head Coach Alyssa Waite have made the determination that due to heavy rains throughout the preceding week before the team's annual tournament, the 2024 edition of The Beach Invitational will have to be canceled.

                "We're obviously very disappointed that we won't be able to continue the tournament this year," said Waite. "The amount of rain we received has left the course in a condition that would not showcase either Old Ranch Country Club or our competing teams in the high-quality event that we envision for our annual home tournament."

                Scheduled to return to Old Ranch Country Club in 2024, the field of 16 teams was set to take the course on February 5-6.

                Long Beach State has won three straight competitions as a team, including Wednesday's win at the CSUN/CSUB Tri-Dual and will now make their spring tournament debut at the GCU Invitational starting on Tuesday, February 27.
