
LBSU Announces 2025 Indoor & Outdoor Track & Field Schedules

Long Beach State hosts four regular season meets and Big West Championships
LONG BEACH, Calif.—Long Beach State Director of Track and Field Andy Sythe has announced the 2025 indoor and outdoor LBSU schedules.
The indoor season begins Jan. 24-25 at the Nevada Invitational. Long Beach State will conclude the regular season on Feb. 7-8 as the Beach travels to New Mexico Collegiate Classic. LBSU will defend its MPSF titles as the MPSF Championships return to the Podium in Spokane, Wash., Feb. 21-22. The NCAA Division I Indoor Track Championships will be held on Mar. 14-15 in Virginia Beach, Va.
The outdoor campaign begins with the first of four regular-season home meets: the Beach Opener, set for Mar. 7-8 on the Jack Rose Track. LBSU looks to defend its Challenge Cup, as UC Irvine will host the meet on Mar. 14. The Beach heads to the Oregon Preview on Mar. 21 and will divide the squad on Mar. 22 when Long Beach State enters both the Oregon Preview and USC's Ron and Sharlene Allice Trojan Invitational.
Mar. 28-29 is a busy weekend of competition for LBSU as the team is scheduled to enter the Texas Relays, Texas State's Bobcat Invitational, and UC Irvine's Vince O'Boyle Track and Field Classic. The inaugural Battle at the Beach is set for Apr. 4 at Jack Rose Track. The meet will feature LSU and USC traveling to Long Beach. That weekend (Apr. 4-5) will also feature Beach athletes entered in Stanford's Invitational and the Mike Fanelli Track Classic.
After the Bryan Clay Multis Apr. 10-11 in Azusa, Long Beach State hosts the Pacific Coast Invitational Apr. 17 and the Beach Invitational Apr. 18-19 to round out the regular season home meets. LBSU is also entered in the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Mt. SAC Relays Apr. 17-19.
The regular season wraps up on May 2-3 at UC Irvine's Steve Scott Invitational. Long Beach State hosts the Big West Championships for the first time since 2016 as the multis May 9-10, followed by the track and field championships May 16-17.
The NCAA West First round will be hosted by Texas A&M May 28-31. The NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted once again by the University of Oregon June 11-14.
