AT THE START
Long Beach State concludes the regular season Saturday when the Beach travel to Santa Clara's Bronco Invitational. The men's 8k begins at 8:45 a.m. with the women's 6k starting at 9:30 a.m.

Scheduled to compete are Cal Poly, Cal Poly Humboldt, Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State East Bay, Dominican, Fresno Pacific, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Hawai'i, Jessup, LMU, Long Beach State, Pacific, Saint Mary's, Santa Clara, San Francisco State, Seattle U, UC Davis, UC Merced, UC Santa Barbara, Utah Tech, and Vanguard.

Long Beach State last competed at the Sept. 21 UC Riverside Invitational.

The day began with the Women's 6k Invite. Louise Stonham ran the third fastest LBSU 6k time in school history, 20:22.7, to finish 15th in the field of 227.
Marikay Schwab turned in the seventh quickest 6k time in Long Beach State history, 20:40.7, to place 29th.
Leia Jones posted a 53rd-place finish, running 21:03.5. Scoring for Long Beach State were Allie Scimia (92nd, 21:34.3), Mackenzie Hack (136th, 21:56.3), Jadyn Palaschuk (143rd, 22:00.1), and Alyssa Tapanes (179th, 22:20.6).
Rounding the LBSU entries were Naima Salazar (187th, 22:29.7, a career-best time) and Brooke Willoughby (200th, 22:42).
As a team, LBSU finishes 11th (305) in the field of 26 teams. Utah State (67) was the team winner. Judy Chepkoech of Arizona State was the individual winner (19:31.7).
Nataly Toledo was the lone Long Beach State competitor in the women's 5k open. She finished with a career-best time of 18:44.1 to place 50th among 279 entries.
The men's race saw Levi Taylor turn in the top LBSU time, 24:34.8, to finish 79th in a field of 248 entries. Taylor, a junior transfer from Iowa State, posted a career-best 8k time for the Beach.
Quinn Garity was second among the Long Beach State runners, finishing 85th (24:39.8). Sophomore Cameron Gill recorded a career-best 8k performance, 24:57.8, to place 119th. Cameron Rhone was 126th (25:04.5).
Concluding the Long Beach State's times were Kyle Reden (181st, 25:35.6), Cameron Day (199th, 25:50.5, career-best), and Ethan Florez (238th, 26:57.2).
