
Women’s Soccer Announces Loaded 2023 Schedule

Long Beach State will play 11 games at George Allen Field this fall.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State women's soccer has officially announced their schedule for the upcoming 2023 season featuring 11 games at home on George Allen Field.
The Beach will open the fall with an exhibition against USC ahead of their true season opener on Thursday, August 17 against the University of Texas. Kickoff against the Longhorns will be at 7 p.m. live on ESPN+. It will be just the second matchup between the two programs with the first happening in Austin back in 2018.
Three days later, the Beach welcomes in another Power 5 team in Boston College. The Eagles will come to George Allen Field on Sunday, August 20 with a kickoff time of 1 p.m. It will also be just the second meeting between the programs and first in Long Beach.
Game three of the season will also begin the first road trip of the year as LBSU heads to Provo, Utah for a matchup against BYU ahead of a trip down I-5 for a Sunday matchup with San Diego State.
LBSU then welcomes the 2022 Ivy League runners-up Harvard. It will be the second time the Crimson will make the trip to Long Beach, but first since 2008.
Next on the slate is Fresno State on the road ahead of a trip to Westwood to face the defending national champion Bruins of UCLA. The Beach round out their non-conference schedule with Utah Valley and Northern Colorado at home.
Conference play begins on Sep. 14 with a rematch of the 2022 Big West Championship game against UC Irvine. The opening matchup of the 2023 edition of the Black and Blue Rivalry will be at 7 p.m. at George Allen Field.
The Beach will also welcome UC Santa Barbara (Sep. 24), Cal Poly (Oct. 5), UC San Diego (Oct. 15), and Hawai'i (Oct. 26) to Long Beach for the Big West portion of their schedule.
Overall, Long Beach State will face seven teams that made the NCAA tournament a season ago, six of which appeared in the final 2022 team rankings. Five of the Beach's 2023 opponents also featured a winning percentage north of .700 last year.
Season tickets are on sale now through the multi-sport Beach Sports Pass for $99 at longbeachstate.com/soccertickets. Mini plans for the 2023 season will go on sale Monday, July 12 with single-game tickets going on sale on Monday, July 24.
All kids ages 3-12 are invited to join the Beach Kids Club for 2023-24. For just $25, Beach Kids Club members will receive free entry to all regular season home games of all sports. To purchase, visit longbeachstate.com/beachkidsclub
