Leovao Shoots Her Best Round Of Tournament To Close NCAA San Antonio Regional

An eagle on five at TPC San Antonio highlighted the day for the freshman.
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Jasmine Leovao wrapped up her time at the NCAA San Antonio Regional with her best round of the tournament, moving up the leaderboard on the final day.
Hitting an eagle on the par-four fifth helped the true freshman close out the tournament with a 76 in the third and final round, moving up to a tie for 51st place overall in the tournament, 237 over the three days at TPC San Antonio.
Leovao punched her ticket to the NCAA postseason with an outstanding tournament at the Big West Championship. Starting the tournament with a LBSU record round at the championship with a 6-under 66, Leovao led wire-to-wire, winning individual medalist by three strokes.
The freshman's T51 finish is the best individual result at the NCAAs for Long Beach State since 2015, when Kassidy Teare finished in a tie for 41st overall. Leovao's season comes to a close as the Big West Freshman of the Year is the fourth individual to compete at the NCAA Regional level for Long Beach State, and just the second freshman.
