
Ian Gilligan Finishes in the Top 5 at the Bandon Dunes Championship

Gilligan posts another Top 5 finish in a shortened two-round tournament due to weather

BANDON, Ore. – Ian Gilligan currently is ranked 19th in the nation and backed it up with another strong performance at the Bandon Dunes Championship, finishing tied for fifth place. Gilligan climbed 19 spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 68 for 4-under par on the final day.
Due to the rain causing the course to be flooded, round two was initially postponed before it was decided the tournament would only consist of two rounds, with the final round wrapping up today.
The Beach climbed three spots on the leaderboard after today's round to finish tied for seventh place in the tournament, shooting 18-over par. No. 28 ranked Oregon won the tournament with a score of 5-over par. Oregon State and Utah round out the top three as they tied for second with a score of 12-over par.
Freshman Jaden Huggins had another strong round shooting a 73 today and finishing the tournament at 4-over par and a top 25 finish.
Right behind Huggins was senior Isaac Rodea who also finished today 1-over par and a solid 5-over for the tournament.
Sophomore Steven Deutsch shot an even 72, climbing up 21 spots to finish the tournament at 9-over par.
Meanwhile, freshman Jack Cantlay shot 1-over par for the day and a 10-over par showing for the tournament.
