Beach Volleyball Ranked No. 14 in AVCA Preseason Poll

Long Beach State has been ranked every week since AVCA began their collegiate rankings.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Beach Volleyball opens the season as the No. 14 team in the nation according to the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The news was announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The AVCA began doing collegiate rankings at the start of the 2013 season and has featured Long Beach State in every single preseason, weekly, and final rankings.
This year's roster features a lot of new faces with 10 newcomers to the program to go along with nine returners. Leading the group of returners are All-Big West Second Team selections Sydney Stevens and Emily Mattoon while the newcomers are headlined by three AVCA Junior All-Americans in Taylor Hagenah, Malia Gementera, and Kate Stoughton.
The Beach open their season on the road on February 24 taking on No. 6 Grand Canyon for their first match before facing the tri-dual hosts, No. 4 USC. First serve of the season will be at 10:00 a.m.
