Edlin takes on the role vacated since the retirement of Cindy Masner.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Executive Director of Athletics Andy Fee announced Wednesday that Tiffany Edlin will take on an increased role within the Long Beach State Athletics department, serving as the Deputy Athletics Director and Chief of Staff for the Beach.
"Tiffany's skills and dedication to our department over the six past years has helped create a positive, championship experience for our student-athletes, and she is a tremendous advocate for those student-athletes as well as our coaches and staff," noted Fee. "She's a great asset to our Beach family and I'm thrilled to have her continue her career in this expanded role."
As the Deputy Athletics Director, Edlin will play a major role in shaping Long Beach State's strategic plan while also coordinating to enmesh the goals of athletics with the ongoing Beach 2030 campaign from the University.
Providing access to impactful practices, promoting well-being for all students, coaches and staff and cultivating an environment for leaders and champions to thrive will also be key components of Edlin's ongoing responsibilities.
"I'm overjoyed to continue to serve Long Beach State in this role and extremely grateful to Andy for the opportunity to take on new challenges," said Edlin. "I'd like to give special appreciation to Cindy Masner, who offered me my first position at the Beach. She saw something in me that I did not at that time, and I'm honored to have been mentored by her and so many others along the way."
In addition to those responsibilities, Edlin will continue to have oversight of Beach Athletics Finance and Human Resources as well serving as the sport supervisor for seven sports at the Beach.
Edlin was originally hired by Long Beach State in 2016 as the head of business operations and human resources for Long Beach State Athletics, and has served as a key member of the leadership team for the athletic department since the start of her tenure. Since the retirement of Masner and Ashlie Kite, Edlin has also held a position on the Big West Council and served as Long Beach State's interim SWA.
