Women’s Soccer Announces Schedule for 2022

Long Beach State will play 12 games at George Allen Field this coming fall season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State has released their schedule for the upcoming 2022 season and features 12 home games at George Allen Field. Head Coach Mauricio Ingrassia announced the news on Monday.
The Beach will play a pair of exhibition games against California Baptist and Arizona State before officially opening the year against the University of Pacific. The season-opening kickoff at George Allen Field will be on Thursday, August 18 at 7:00 p.m.
After facing the Tigers, Long Beach State will welcome USC (Aug. 21), San Diego State (Aug. 25), Washington (Aug. 28), Fresno State (Sep. 1), and the University of San Diego (Sep. 4) for a six-game home stretch to begin the season.
The first road trip of the year is the week of September 8 as the team flies to Massachusetts to face Harvard and then to Indiana for a match against Purdue before returning home to close out the non-conference schedule against Pepperdine.
In Big West play, LBSU welcomes UC Riverside to George Allen Field for the opener on September 18 at 7:00 p.m. The rest of the home conference matchups will be against CSU Bakersfield (Sep. 22), Cal State Fullerton (Sep. 29), CSUN (Oct. 16), and UC Davis (Oct. 27) in the finale.
Overall, seven of the Beach opponents on the 2022 schedule finished last year with a .600 win percentage or better with five appearing in the NCAA Tournament (USC, Harvard, Purdue, Pepperdine, and UC Irvine).
