Long Beach State Tabbed as No. 2 Seed for Big West Championship

The Beach will be the number two seed at the conference tournament this weekend in San Luis Obispo.
LONG BEACH, Calif. –Long Beach State has been tabbed as the number two seed for the Big West Championships this weekend in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The seeding was announced on Tuesday afternoon by the conference office.
The Beach ended the season with a 19-12 overall record, giving them a conference leading .613 winning percentage. They will enter the tournament on a four-match win streak and winners in nine of their last eleven. LBSU also owns a 7-2 record against their conference foes, including a league-leading 5-1 mark at the Big West Challenge earlier this season.
Hawai'i was named the top seed while defending champion Cal Poly will be the three-seed. UC Davis, CSU Bakersfield, CSUN, and Sacramento State round out the rest of the group.
As the two-seed, the Beach will face Sacramento State in match two at 10:15 a.m. on Friday morning to open their tournament run.
