Ten From Long Beach State Basketball Programs Named Academic All-Big West

Combined, Long Beach State had more honorees than all but one of the 11 conference institutions.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State Men's and Women's Basketball combined to have ten selections as the Big West Office announced the winter student-athletes who received Academic All-Big West honors.
Long Beach State Men's Basketball had the most honorees in recent memory, as three student-athletes earned selection in Jadon Jones, Jordan Roberts and Colin Slater.
For Women's Basketball, seven in total met the selection criteria, as Patricia Chung, Lauren Green, Kianna Hamilton-Fisher, Jasmine Hardy, Kristyna Keskeova, Justina King and Savannah Tucker all were honored.
In order to qualify for the Academic All-Conference honor, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.00 cumulative institutional grade point average (GPA), must have completed one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which the award is being received, and must have competed in at least 50 percent of the institution's contests in the student-athlete's respective sport.
Only UC Santa Barbara joined Long Beach State in reaching double-digits in the amount of student-athletes recognized for the fall.
