Colin Slater Selected To Participate In 2022 Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship

The annual three-on-three tournament is comprised of 64 players from around the country.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Senior guard Colin Slater is one of four players from the Big West and the Big Sky chosen to represent the leagues at the 2022 Dos Equis 3x3u National Championship, an event held concurrently with the NCAA Final Four annually. This year, the event is scheduled to held from April 1-3 at The Sugar Mill in Slater's home of New Orleans.
The reigning Big West Player of the Year will team up with UC Irvine big man Collin Welp, Weber State's Koby McEwen, and Southern Utah's John Knight III, with cash prizes being offered at each level for players who have exhausted their NCAA eligibility. Slater becomes the second player from the Beach to participate in the event, following Deishuan Booker's inclusion for the 2019 edition.
Teams will play each squad in their respective pool on April 1 and 2 before all 16 will head to the knockout stage on April 3, with the top two teams from each pool receiving byes to the quarterfinals.
Live coverage for the full tournament will be available through Twitter Live and ESPN, beginning with pool play games on Friday and Saturday, April 1-2, and knockout rounds on Sunday, April 3.
Kyle Montgomery, the voice of FIBA 3x3, and Robbie Hummel, current ESPN and Big Ten Network analyst, will be behind the mic calling games all weekend long. Tate Frazier and Mark Titus of the Titus & Tate Podcast will also suit up as the hosts of the Dos Equis Lounge to provide commentary, postgame interviews and more over the three-day experience.
