Long Beach State Announces New Bryson Financial Video Board at Bohl Diamond at Blair Field

Continuing the efforts to improve legendary Bohl Diamond at Blair Field, LBSU has announced a new, state of the art videoboard will be installed prior to the 2023 season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Long Beach State is proud to officially announce their next renovation project at legendary Bohl Diamond at Blair Field to the public on Thursday. The new Bryson Financial Video Board will be a state of the art videoboard/scoreboard beyond the right-center field wall at the Dirtbags' home field.
"Daktronics is the industry leader in this type of digital technology and this new video board will enhance the game day experience for our fans and the greater community tremendously," said Senior Associate Athletics Director/External Relations Sean Ferrera. "This would not be possible without the generous gift from Rick and Trent Bryson of Bryson Financial and we are excited to see their name atop the new video board. Continued investment into Bohl Diamond at Blair Field is critical as we focus on a championship culture."
"We can't thank Rick and Trent Bryson along with President Conoley, the University, and Marilyn Bohl enough for their generosity in the installation of this new, amazing video board," said head Dirtbags coach Eric Valenzuela. "This is an absolute game changer for the fan experience, our recruiting, and to highlight our wonderful sponsors. We are so grateful for President Conoley and former Athletics Director Andy Fee on their continued efforts to upgrade our beautiful and historic facility of Bohl Diamond at Blair Field."
Rick and Trent Bryson, leaders of Bryson Financial, will have their names donned on the top of the new Bryson Financial Video Board. Both are deeply rooted into the past, present, and future of CSULB. Rick is a Long Beach State Hall of Famer after a tremendous baseball career from 1964-66, where he helped win the school's first ever conference championship in 1964 while his son Trent is an adjunct professor in Human Resources for the university.
The new Bryson Financial Video Board marks Phase Two of the latest improvements to the Dirtbags home field announced in June of 2021.
Over the last five years, Bohl Diamond at Blair Field has seen numerous top-tier improvements beginning with the Troy and Danyll Tulowitzki Batting Facility in 2017. In 2021, the Steve Trachsel Bullpen was added down the left field line and prior to this past season was the addition of the facility's new LED lighting courtesy of Marilyn Bohl in partnership with the University.
Long Beach State played its first game at Blair Field in 1958 against Long Beach City College, and officially adopted Blair as its home field in 1993. Since then, the Dirtbags have had tremendous success building a national brand making 22 NCAA Regional appearances, reaching the College World Series 4 times, and seeing 53 players go on to play in Major League Baseball.
Season ticket purchases for the upcoming 2023 season are now available. For returning season ticket holders, fans should have received their renewals via email and will need to log into their Long Beach State ticketing accounts HERE to confirm their renewals.
