Silano Named to Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week

After an unbelievable 12 point week, Lena Silano earned national recognition from Top Drawer Soccer.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Lena Silano had a tremendous performance last week against UC San Diego and CSUN, earning a spot on Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week. This is the fifth time in her career she has been recognized for the award.
The Agoura Hills native totaled five goals and two assists in Long Beach State's two matches last week.
Against UCSD, she registered the ninth hat trick in program history and first for the Beach since Melanie Fox in 2015. Her goals came in the 13th, 23rd, and 77th minutes leading the team to a 6-1 victory. She added an assist on the night giving her seven points to tie the single-game record.
In the matchup with CSUN, she added two more goals including the game-winner to headline a 4-1 win over the Matadors. Just as she did on Thursday, she added an assist to go along with the multi-goal performance.
Silano now ranks fourth in the nation in total points (34) and goals scored (14) while leading The Big West in virtually every offensive category. She has registered at least one point in every league matchup thus far, giving her a seven consecutive point streak.
