Phillips' school record was good for second place overall, but first among all collegiate competitors. His time of 23:32.5 was almost a full 15 seconds faster than the previous record and five seconds faster than the next Division I athlete. It also shatters his previous lifetime-best by 30 seconds.

Going through the rest of the Beach men's finishers, the success continued with Alex Kalmar finishing 39th with a new personal best of 24:24.6. Quinn Garity was not far behind finishing 42nd with a new personal best of 24:25.2. They now rank in the all-time top ten in ninth and tenth, respectively.

Connor Phillips joins the group with a new personal best of 24:41.6 finishing at 67th, Antonio Carbajal placed 78th with a new personal best of 24:47.4, and Mario Tavares finished 97th with a time of
24:58.8. Ryan Hernandez was the final finisher with a time of 25:04.1.

After both Scimia and Ryley Fick moved into one-two on the all-time list in their last meet, the duo swapped in Sunnyvale as both beat the school record once again.

Scimia was first this time, claiming third place with a time of 19:45.3 to become the first ever Long Beach State runner with a sub-20 minute 6K time. She was second among all Big West competitors, shattering her previous PR by 31 seconds.

Fick improved on her personal best time with time of 20:02.1 which ranks second on the all-time LBSU list. The senior finished seventh overall and fourth among Big West runners.

Brieanna Tafoya was the third Beach runner, finishing 68th with a time of 21:28.9, Anitha Graves finished 77th with a time of 21:40.5, and Jaxin Woodward finished 93rd with a new personal best of 21:55.0.

Lakely Nealis (22:30.2), Yajaria Calderon (22:39.5), and Maggie Bauer (22:55.9) rounded out the scoring for the team.

In the team standings, the men's squad finished eighth overall and third among The Big West while the women were ninth overall and fourth among The Big West.
