Long Beach State Concludes Action at Husky Invitational

BREMERTON, Wash. – The Long Beach State men's golf team concluded action at their first tournament of the fall season and finished in a tie for 13th place as the Beach shot 12-over par at the Husky Invitational.
Washington and Nevada tied at the top of the leaderboard with an 18-under par 846 showing, as Oregon State rounded out the top three with a 14-under par 850.
The Beach shot their best during the second round with a 287 for 1-under par, but struggled in the final round as they shot a 10-over par and dropped three spots in the leaderboard.
Junior Tyler Schafer came into the final round in the lead for the Beach and shot a 6-over par in the final round to tie for 31st place with teammate freshman Steven Deutsch who finished the final round with a 4-over par.
Clay Seeber and Isaac Rodea shot even with par in the final round as they finished shooting 5-over and 6-over, respectively.
Long Beach State also sent Bryce Kvick and Sebastian Vallejo to compete in the Husky Individual Invitational. There, Kvivk finished in a tie for fourth place as he fired a 6-under par. Vallejo finished in the top 20 with an even par 216.
The Beach will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 4 at the Paintbrush Invitational hosted by Denver.
